Tuesday Community

Weekend Away March 2017

Our work with students and young adults is enveloped in a single ministry called the Tuesday Community. The community is made up of student and young adult small groups run by amazing small group leaders. Generally speaking the small groups meet in homes on Tuesday evenings, apart from the first week of each month. Currently STUDENTS are meeting downstairs in the Crypt every Tuesday at 7.30pm (other than the first Tuesday of each month)

On the first MONDAY of each month we join the rest of the Church family for a prayer and worship gathering at 7.45, in Church. We also gather together as a larger 'Tuesday Community' for occasional socials too!

Our focus is the person of Jesus and His Glory and we are passionate about true transformation. Our aim is to deepen our relationship with God, both as individuals and as a group, to help each other to see how God is at work in our hearts and lives and to embrace and agree with all that He is doing around us. We study the Bible, pray, worship, laugh, value openness and honesty, and seek to support each other through the good times and the hard, whatever stage of the faith journey we find ourselves!

The structure of our evenings vary, but our small groups are at the core of what we do, making sure everyone can know others and be known. Our community is mainly made up of students and young adults, but we welcome anyone who wants to be a part of what we do! Put simply; all are welcome.

Once a year, in the spring term, we have a weekend retreat which has grown year by year and is a fantastic opportunity for extended fellowship, worship and teaching.

Students are welcomed at any and all of our Sunday Gatherings - whether you are new to the city and are looking for a church to call home during term time or wanting to find out more about who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian, we'd love to meet you. The majority of the Tuesday Community attend the 5 Gathering, we start with refreshments at 5pm so do give it a try!

If you are a student or in the age bracket of approx.19-21 we would love to welcome you straight into the student work at Christ Church, without attending our 'Newcomers' Group. If you are NOT a student but would like to join a small group, please first go to our Newcomers Group in Paul and Jackie's home. Once you've been a part of the Newcomers Group and are sure Christ Church is the place for you and can commit to being a part of a small group, we will find the right group for you to join. Please fill in a Get Connected card to get more information on our next Newcomers Group.

If you would like to come along or find out more, please contact Chris Whitwell here.

Students at Christ Church

Welcome to Bristol and welcome to Christ Church

Students at Christ Church are part of an exciting, growing community of young people who are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. Our main meeting is on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm either in the main church building or in homes.

Students also form an important part of our Sunday Gatherings, either at the 10.00 am, our family gathering, or at the 5.00 pm gathering, a more informal gathering. Do come along to whichever Gathering you feel most at home in!

Christ Church is a church committed to transforming lives, and that transformation looks different for everyone. It may be about helping you grow a deeper faith through insightful teaching and spiritual encounter; providing a family and a home away from home, or introducing you to Jesus and Christianity for the first time. We’d love you to join us as we pursue Jesus and his love!
