Latest News

Over the last few weeks at Christ Church we have been exploring different ways of giving towards our vision and the work God is calling us to do in building his Kingdom in Clifton, Bristol and beyond.

Provision: Giving

On Sunday 5th February we looked at how we can give financially towards the work of our Church and we wrote to everyone on our mailing list to ask you to to think and pray through whether you are able to increase your giving, start giving regularly, or make a one-off gift, in response to the vision which God has given us. If you haven’t yet collected your letter from church, please do so this Sunday. Any letters not collected will be posted out next week, so it saves us a stamp if you collect yours!

If your letter is sitting on the mantelpiece at home now is the time to dust it down, fill it in and return it to the InfoHub or office. It’s a great encouragement to our finance team to have as many replies as possible (even if you are not changing your giving this time) as this helps us to plan for the year ahead. And this is particularly important this year as the PCC steps out in faith with the appointment of a Youth Pastor and an increase in our giving to the Diocese of Bristol.

Don’t forget you can find out more about giving, view the Provision literature and setup or increase your giving online by visiting www.ccweb.org.uk/giving.

Provision: Serving

Then last Sunday, 12th February, we looked at how we can all play our part practically by using the different gifts, skills and passions which God has given us to serve and bless the wider church family and resource the ministries of Christ Church.

As part of this, we produced a booklet outlining some of the ministry areas where you can get involved, and this information is now on our website at www.ccweb.org.uk/getinvolved. Please do have a look at the various opportunities, and ask the Lord to show you which areas he may be prompting you to explore further. There’s a response form in the booklet, and also online.

Listen Again - If you missed any of the talks, we do encourage you to listen to them online. They are available on the Sermons page on our website.
