New Term

Welcome to the new term at Christ Church!

We do hope that you have had a fantastic summer. Just a reminder this coming Sundayour services are at 9am, 10:30am and 6:30pm and that Kids Church and Pathfinders restart on Sunday morning. Also, a reminder that all our regular weekday groups and activities re-start this coming week.

#TryAlpha

Our autumn Alpha course starts on Wednesday 28th September, and if you haven’t yet seen the #TryAlpha advert featuring Bear Grylls, it can be seen on the Alpha page on our website at www.ccweb.org.uk/alpha

On this page you can also watch the first episode of Alpha Film Series which will form the basis of the talks this year. It is brilliant, so if you’re unsure about doing Alpha or inviting someone onto the course, then do check this page.

You can sign up for Alpha here, or pick up one of the invitations which will be available in church on Sunday. Please be praying for the course and who you might invite.

Changes in the office

Becky Williams has now finished as our office administrator so we are recruiting a new part-time administrator. Details of the job and how to apply are on the jobs page of our website. If you need to contact the office in the interim, please use the general email addressoffice@ccweb.org.uk.

It’s not too late to contribute towards a leaving gift for Becky - donations (cash or cheques to ‘Christ Church Clifton’ only please) can be left via the InfoHub or Church Office marked clearly for Becky’s leaving gift.

The Café is coming

Work will start this month on creating the Café in Christ Church which will open in the autumn and in preparation we are now recruiting a Café Manager. If you are interested or know someone who might be suitable for this role, check out the details on the jobs page of our website. Also, as part of the work for the Café, we now have Faculty permission to remove the remaining pews in the church, so these will be going very soon.

Praying for our Church

This coming Monday night, 5th September, is our next monthly Church Family prayer gathering. Come along and pray for our church, community and world. We meet in the church from 7:30pm (with refreshments from 7:15pm).

Thanks

Leighton Carr has written to say "Catherine and I wanted to say thank you very much indeed for the generous gift the church gave us after we left. It was unexpected and we were moved and grateful".  Leighton and Catherine will shortly be moving to their new home in London.
